Ryan Smith

Ryan E. Smith is a Director and Professor in the School of Design and Construction at Washington State University. He is an international scholar and consultant on offsite and modular design and construction and timber building. Smith has authored/co-authored six books and numerous articles on housing, sustainability and prefabrication.

He is a fellow of the Centre for Offsite Construction in Scotland, a fellow of the Modular Building Institute and founding chair of the National Institute of Building Sciences Offsite Construction Council. Smith also is the founder of MOD X, an industry/university knowledge consortium.
